Living in Croatia

The Consular staff at the British Embassy in Zagreb and the Consulates in Split and Dubrovnik will do all they can to help British people in difficulty in Croatia.  We can assist people with issuing replacement passports, providing appropriate help for hospitalised or detained persons, and assist with making contact with family members.  For a full list of what we can do please check the consular page of this web site.

Unfortunately we cannot get a person out of prison, provide legal advice, interfere with local law, pay any bills or give you money, etc for full details please check this web site.  Furthermore, we are not able to assist with lifestyle enquiries, e.g. living in Croatia, buying a property, applying for residence or setting up a company, etc.  These issues would need to be addressed to the competent local authorities.  However, we may be able to offer advice on where to find the information which you require.
