Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader will meet British Prime Minster Gordon Brown in London on Wednesday 18 June. They will launch the Strategic Partnership for 2008-9.

The Strategic Partnership is the UK and Croatia working together to achieve our shared objective of Croatia joining the EU and NATO soon in a stable and prosperous neighbourhood.

The UK is providing £1m of direct support to implement the Strategic Partnership and approximately £20m through the UK's share of the EU's pre-accession funds.

The meeting follows on from a recent meeting between British Foreign Secretary David Miliband and Croatian Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandrokovic in New York. Click here to read more about the meeting.
