Disabled access to the British Embassy

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office and this Embassy are keen to ensure buildings and services are fully accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our buildings and services accessible. Sometimes, however, this is not possible due to security or other restrictions. In these situations we will endeavour to provide a service or access to a building in an alternative way to ensure equality of access for disabled people. To assist disabled visitors, we have set out below details of disabled access at this Embassy. We hope this information is helpful.

General physical access
  • The main entrances to the Embassy and the Consular/Visa Section are clear and unobstructed and  wheelchair accessible with permanent ramps provided;
  • The Embassy has lift availability to all floors and accessibility for wheelchair-users;
  • There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor next to Consular/Visa Section in the Embassy building;
  • Parking: for security reasons parking is not available in the Embassy or Consular/Visa Section for visitors;
  • In the event of an emergency/evacuation: Embassy staff will assist;
Access for visually-impaired visitors

Access for Deaf/hard of hearing visitors
